Killarney / Glengarry is an established inner-city community in southwest Calgary, along the 33rd Avenue SW corridor. The housing stock is a mix of original 1950s bungalows, newer infill duplexes and single-family homes, and mid-rise apartments, with a steady amount of redevelopment underway.
Getting around
The community is very walkable for daily errands (Walk Score in the low-to-mid 70s as of 2025 research). Westbrook LRT station is roughly a 10-minute walk from the eastern edge, and the 33rd Avenue bus corridor connects across the southwest. By car it's about a 12–15 minute drive to the Trans-Canada / Crowchild for trips west.
For families
Day-to-day amenities are close by: the Killarney Pool & Aquatic Centre, community gardens, and neighbourhood parks, with the shops and restaurants of 17th Avenue SW along the community's western extension. Grocery options include a nearby Co-op and Safeway.
